Chris Burgess Training Consultant
Before he became involved in the world of Pyrotechnics, Chris' background was in the UK nuclear industry where he worked in IT and Quality.
Thanks to his extensive experience in this most safety-critical and demanding of sectors, Chris has a passion for the attention to detail which is so essential to deliver quality and safety.
Chris
combines this with years of hands-on technical experience in pyrotechnics with training and management skills gained within a variety of corporate environments.
His time in the nuclear industry has firmly established his exacting quality and safety standards, reinforced by training and team leadership skills.
Chris enjoys working with people to deliver great results and favours imparting knowledge through personal coaching in his role as "the guide by the side" with Illuminate Consult.

Steve Illidge
Training Consultant
Steve started his career in the fireworks industry in 1990, setting up and running his own small firework company. His success led to Steve being named the Shell Livewire Young Business Man of the Year 1993 for the Northwest and subsequently national UK runner up the same year.
Steve now runs a company which specialises in all aspects of fireworks and pyrotechnics and as well as being MD, he maintains a high level of practical involvement in all the processes involved.
With over 3000 events of all sizes and scales across the UK and Europe under his belt, Steve has a real grip on the issues which impact on pyrotechnics displays - from site level to dealing effectively with HSE, local authorities and compliance issues.
Steve is a down-to-earth person with a straightforward and friendly approach to advice and training. His passion is for stunning, safe, public fireworks displays, and his goal is to see the industry improve standards through good practice and continuous improvement by creating a forum for sharing information and creating lively discussion and debate.
